The Baby's First Years study is the first randomized controlled trial of poverty reduction in early childhood in the US, and we are hiring! We're seeking research assistants to pilot and run lab- and home-based data collection with 4-year-olds in the New Orleans site, beginning as early as January 2022.

 

Position Responsibilities and Overview: 

Must have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, Child Development, or a related field. Primary responsibilities include assisting with the development and pilot testing of study procedures, successfully scheduling study participants for university-based data collection, administering study visits, uploading data, and engaging in quality control procedures. Individuals in this role may also train and manage research assistants. Duties may include light travel to participant homes.

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Experience administering standardized cognitive assessments; experience with EEG; experience working with families from low-income communities; experience working with REDCap.

New Orleans locals particularly encouraged to apply. Must have experience working with children, and be willing to work weekends and flexible hours.
